Snow Tha Product, real name Claudia Alexandra Madriz Meza Feliciano, was born on June 24, 1987 in San Jose in California in a Mexican family.
When she was only 6 she made an appearance in talent shows in her school and when she was a little older she went on the stage with her grandfather who was in a mariachi band. She got used to the stage very quickly and people think that this is a great thing since now she is spending so much time on them and is so natural when it comes to audience.
She started freestyling as a teenager .
The family later relocated to San Diego where she graduated from high school after what she enrolled San Diego Mesa College wanting to become a social worker. She had no idea that she could live of her music so she invested all of her time into her degree.
Her parents divorced and it was a very tough period of her life.
In that period of time when she was thinking a lot about who she wants to be, she realized that although she was happy with her choice of career, she felt that she would be happier working in the music industry so she dropped out of college. She never got her degree.
She recorded a lot of songs in Spanish which brought attention of Jamie Kohen who made a song with her:”Alguien”. It was released on his album “Fotosintesis”.
In 2010 she relocated to Texas and started performing on Southby Southwest Festival and finally in 2011 she released her album “Unorthodox” and “Drunk Love” which became a hit single in just a few days. The song has over 1 million views on YouTube.
“Holly Shit” was her second, even bigger hit, which was confirmed after the song showed up on 50 Cent’s web site.
That brought a huge public attention and three big record companies fought to offer her a better contract.
She chose Atlantic Records so Sony and Universal withdraw their offers.
In 2012 she released a mixtape “Good Nights & Bad Mornings”. The mixtape got a sequel and had a lot of guest appearances from Dizzy Wright, Ty Dolla Sign and more.
In 2013 she went on a tour with Kottonmouth Kings and Dizzy Wright and she performed on a lot of festivals.
In 2014 she went on a tour called “F#*K your plans (come kick it)”.
In 2014 she made a guest appearance on Kxng Crooked song “Not For The Weak Minded”.
In 2015 she released another mixtape: “The Best Comes Later” and began touring to promote her tape called “Audio Push”.
In 2016 she released her EP “Half Way There”, and she acted in a known series “Queen of the South” as Lil’ Travesa, a gang leader.
